What's a bevel end?

Bevel end is one of the most common pipe ends for the steel pipes and pipe fittings.The bevel end has a lean angle with the pipe surface and suitable for butt welding joints.The bevel end also could be used for deburring the cut ends for safety reasons.

The standard angle of a bevel end is 37.5°,with 2.5° tolerance which means the angle should be between  35°to 40°.In some other standards,like Russia standards GOST,there are bevel end angles of 35°and 32.5°.Bevel End is abbreviated on drawings as BE.(Pipes and fittings ends in piping system joint)

Steel Pipes With Bevel End,The most popular bevel end standard is ASME/ANSI B16.25,it's about the technical requirement of Bevel ends.To different diameters and thickness pipe ends,the bevel ends are different.Before we proceed the BE production,we should confirm this in advance.
